John decides to check for common cyber tricks to avoid falling for traps that'll ruin His December Plans.

What does John find👀❓

EMAIL BANKING SCAMS

Now, John knows that cyber criminals can pose as financial institutions to ask for sensitive information (such as BVN, CVV),...
Broken Links to steal information when you click them.

PUBLIC WIFI SCAMS

Due to the vulnerability of public WiFis getting snooped by cyber criminals, John now understands that it’s not advisable to access sensitive websites over a public WiFi.

PHONE SCAMS

Cyber criminals can pose as bank officials and reach out to you to collect your personal details.

UNSECURE WEBSITES

No website was created to be unsecure, but when surfing the internet, John now knows that he should not shop with his bank details, sensitive informations on HTTP sites(as they're unprotected).

PHISHING EMAIL SCAMS

Phising email scams is an easy trap for anyone to fall into😩. John now knows that cyber criminals can send out emails that infect your device immediately they're opened.

RANSOMWARES VIRUSES

Just as the name implies they're viruses that cease a particular file/data on your device, making them unreadable and unaccessible until a ransome has been paid. They can also be sent as phising emails, or can get installed on your device through cracked softwares.

INTERNET SURFING SCAMS

Cyber criminals can go to the extent of affixing malwares (a malicious software/application) to pretty much anything like images, adverts, videos and links on unsecure Websites.

IF IT DOESN’T LOOK RIGHT, AVOID IT”
“IF YOU’RE IN DOUBT, DON’T CLICK IT”
“IF IT IS TOO GOOD TOO BE TRUE, IT MOST LIKELY ISN’T TRUE”

John has learnt to contact his bank directly for any alarming mail he receives.

If you’re concerned by any mail or call you receive about your bank details, you should call your bank directly. Not with the number that called you or through the mail you received❗

You can also move funds from your account to a locked Savings account, so as to minimize loss if peradventure you get hacked.

4. Open emails from reputable source alone.

Don’t click it, if you’re in doubt❗
