There I was, no penny in hand

By the well where my wish came true

I found you

I never gave up on you

With one penny, I really brought you back -

I rushed

I held you in my arms

I saw your face

I heard your voice

This is more than chance

I thought it was just a penny

And it brought you back

But in that moment in my arms

I really did see

A toddler and a man

Family wish in the well

My hands shivered 

My eyes wavered

The penny brought you back 

But forever out of reach

Be careful what you wish 

With a penny in your hand

It brought you back 

But with a man and child.
