There I was sitting, penny in hand

By the well, where wishes came true

I knew who I wanted

I knew what I needed

With this one penny

I'll wish for only you

But would a penny really bring you back

I'll give my arms to hold you once more

I'll give my eyes to see your face

I'll give my ears to hear you speak

But I knew it was just a penny

And a well couldn't bring you back.
