They say you never lie

But false hope you give.

Staring at me,

You can't see my thoughts

Save those I reveal to you.

Thou mirror!

Demon of oppression.

What makes you important then?

For I could wear smiles

and yet be torn up inside.

Is there a mirror land?

I would love to visit

and hide from my fears.

For all I see

would be a lie.

Whenever I'm oppressed,

thou mirror,

show me the opposite.

Whenever I'm scared,

reflect me bold.

And when I'm damned,

reveal me a victor.

For thou O mirror!

Art my lieing friend.
