If I were to talk about my mom,
I'd sing of the tenacity imbued with hope
In the face of torment;
I'd speak of tears from countless
adversities and, the painful reminiscence
of the past that still seemed to steal into the present.
I'd write about the consequential crippling fear of fate,
Resulting into endless sleepless nights of disquiet;
I'd speak of the anger that came with
desperation and helplessness,
And the anger and guilt we couldn't help but take because of the various sacrifices
I'd write all of these and more to describe the hero that's my mum.
